It is not a slight thing when those who are so fresh from God...

Love us! -Charles Dickens
I love these newborn pictures of Dalton, and this quote because it sums up his sweet little spirit perfectly. I feel so blessed to have such a sweet, pure spirit love me unconditionally. What a wonderful gift to get to see his eyes light up and smile at me when he sees my face and recognize me as his mom. He was only 12 days old in these pictures. So little and so precious.

What I'll Be Doing Tonight...

Dalton is such a snuggler and I love it, he is a little furnace and keeps me so warm, he sleeps in his crib just fine but about once a week he refuses the crib and wants to snuggle with mommy. Scott caught a picture the other night as we fell asleep. He is so funny he scoots on his heels and pushes up until the top of his head is right up against me or a pillow, I think it makes him feel safe. I dont move at all in my sleep so it works well for him, I think he thinks our bed is his bed! p.s. he slept 10 hours last night! I am one lucky mom!
The other picture is of Brent and Emily Slade's boy Jackson, he was so serious holding Dalton he was so focused he wouldnt even smile for us! I hope these little guys will be good buddies :)

Growing Pains

Dalton is getting so big! These pictures were taken 1 1/2 weeks ago and he is already bigger and longer. I laid him in his crib last night and looked down at him and got sad becasue he is growing way too fast! I had a few tears and Scott caught me, He said honey whats wrong and I said I dont want him to get any bigger! He is so fun and sweet I wish he could stay this tinsy forever! But of course he is growing fast, he is wearing 3-6 month clothes now and weighed 12 lbs last week, he is a big boy! He is 7 weeks old now, I love my little guy. I like the picture a showing his big ol feet, I don't know how me a shorty and scott average size got such a big baby!

ONE handed WONDER

I always used to watch mothers do things all one handed with a baby in the other in awe-Dalton loves to be held so much that I can't really put him down without him crying unconsolable crocadile tears-So I am proud to say I can do almost anything with one hand now! Learning to fold laundry was quite the challenge at first, but i can do it quite well now! So when Dalton decided he liked this baby baby sling I got sigh of relief..and so did my arm, he loves it as much as being held and i love it too becasue it gives me 2 hands! Scott calls it his little kangaroo pouch. Dalton has slept through two movies at the theatre without a peep in this thing! I limit him to 2 hours a day in it--It makes me nervous he will take on the C-shape he curls into in it while he sleeps, and im sure this is the nurse in me worrying about him growing right and strengthening his muscles, but he sure looks cute in it.

thanksgiving

I can't believe Dalton is already a month old! We had a fun, busy thanksgiving. We were able to eat dinner with both sides of the family, and hosted Scott's family here at his parents house. Dalton loved having all of his aunts and uncles and cousins who were in town here to hold him during the week, I had to fight for my turn to hold him! Oh to be so loved! We also got to go up to my parents cabin in Payson for a few hours on Friday, it was so beautiful, Dalton went on his first little quad ride on my dads ranger and we hiked down to a water fall nearby, I love this time of year--the cool weather, holiday decor, and time we get with our family is my favorite! We already got the christmas tree up Thanksgiving night but still need to decorate it--I'm hoping we can tonight! Dalton is lifting his head up, giving smiles when he is sung to especially, and when talked to by mom or dad, he likes his tummy time mat but enjoys being on his back best and coos a mom and dad. He has gotten his third haircut already, he has so much hair, we have to keep cutting it!! We love him so much and can't get enough of him.

Washington

Ok so I am way behind on updating what we have been up to the past couple of months, but we went to Washington in August with Scotts brother Spencer and his wife Molly, we had a blast even with Molly and I being two prego girls and needing to eat every two hours or else!! Ha. WE went back to visit where Scott and SPencer served their missions now 10 years ago for Scott! We started out in the San Juan Islands, Spencer's mission, they were so beautiful Ive never seen an island completely covered by pine trees with little deer in everyones front yard and blackberry bushes on ever corner which were so good! It was like the disney movie Snow White, all the little anomals would come up to you, I got a deer to eat a berry out of my hand! Then we headed torward seatlle area and stayed with Scotts friends the Palmers who were spoiled us with home made meals and Stan Palmer took us fort a ride on his airplane and Scott was co-pilot. Scott he has not stopped talking about getting his pilot liscence and a small plane ever since...um yeah we'll see about that-but it would be fun wouldnt it? If only they werent $150,000+!! We had such a fun time and it was fun for me to go back and meet some of the people that mean so much to Scott who I had never met before.
I probably shouldve just created an albumn of pics since there are so many!
Scott & Pravine

I got to see my good friend and old room mate Stephanie who got married and moved to Washington, and I got to meet her little girl Lydia who is adorable, miss you Steph!

Space Needle Seattle

Fish Market, Seattle

British Concord Airplane at Airplane Museum they let you go walk through it it was so cramped but cool to tour, they also had retired air force one planes those were pretty cool too.

Seattle Temple with the Kris and Keegan McFalls

Waiting for the ferry to take us from island to island, Scott and Spencer kept entertained makign a game out of throwing rocks at a log about 50 ft aweay in the water, all the other men waiting to get on the ferry eventually joined it, its funny how boys can be entertained with rocks and a log for hours!

Some of the random wildlife along the road, scott used to ask his mom for a pet fox when he was little so it was neat to just see one along the road.
