Washington

Ok so I am way behind on updating what we have been up to the past couple of months, but we went to Washington in August with Scotts brother Spencer and his wife Molly, we had a blast even with Molly and I being two prego girls and needing to eat every two hours or else!! Ha. WE went back to visit where Scott and SPencer served their missions now 10 years ago for Scott! We started out in the San Juan Islands, Spencer's mission, they were so beautiful Ive never seen an island completely covered by pine trees with little deer in everyones front yard and blackberry bushes on ever corner which were so good! It was like the disney movie Snow White, all the little anomals would come up to you, I got a deer to eat a berry out of my hand! Then we headed torward seatlle area and stayed with Scotts friends the Palmers who were spoiled us with home made meals and Stan Palmer took us fort a ride on his airplane and Scott was co-pilot. Scott he has not stopped talking about getting his pilot liscence and a small plane ever since...um yeah we'll see about that-but it would be fun wouldnt it? If only they werent $150,000+!! We had such a fun time and it was fun for me to go back and meet some of the people that mean so much to Scott who I had never met before.
I probably shouldve just created an albumn of pics since there are so many!
Scott & Pravine

I got to see my good friend and old room mate Stephanie who got married and moved to Washington, and I got to meet her little girl Lydia who is adorable, miss you Steph!

Space Needle Seattle

Fish Market, Seattle

British Concord Airplane at Airplane Museum they let you go walk through it it was so cramped but cool to tour, they also had retired air force one planes those were pretty cool too.

Seattle Temple with the Kris and Keegan McFalls

Waiting for the ferry to take us from island to island, Scott and Spencer kept entertained makign a game out of throwing rocks at a log about 50 ft aweay in the water, all the other men waiting to get on the ferry eventually joined it, its funny how boys can be entertained with rocks and a log for hours!

Some of the random wildlife along the road, scott used to ask his mom for a pet fox when he was little so it was neat to just see one along the road.

A few for fun!

I'm not the best picture taker, I wish I had more talent in that area, but I love these little shots of his cute face taken on Scotts cell. He is such a handsome boy!

Dalton Scott Hastings

Scott and I are so excited he is here! We are so grateful for our little blessing, we appreciate him so much more having tried to bring him here for 2 years, the wait was well worth it! He is such a calm, happy baby. As long as he gets enough to eat! He's like his dad and I when it comes to food-we get grumpy when we're hungry! And he hates getting his diaper changed, other than that he gives us smiles and doesnt make a peep! We love his little grunts and wrinkled forehead when you give him kisses, and mom loves his cheeks! He already knows daddys voice, before he was even 24hrs old he was picking up his head to look for Scott when he talked. Scott is such a good dad, he loves Dalton so much and likes to sleep with him on his chest at night. I always have to steal him from Scott to feed him. He was 8 lbs 5 oz 21.5" long and has a full head of jet black hair. He looks just like his dad with mommy's hair and the Wright cheeks (I really have jet black hair i just always highlight it :). He was born October 27 at 824am. Thank you to everyone for the calls, meals, flowers, groceries, visits and help! We are so blessed by all our friends and family. And thank you especially to my mom who stayed with us the first two nights to take care if him so i could heal, i love you mom!
