June 1st-Off to the Prove UT, MTC for training! It feels so different without a set of parents here, especially living in their home without them here! I have become more aware of everything Norma and Dave do for the family day to day, taking over a small part of their responsibilities here. Below are some pics of sending them off at the airport from Phoenix to Salt Lake. Scott, Shawn and I went up to see them last saturday in Salt Lake before they flew out of UT for the Phillipines, i didnt have a chance to get my camera out for pics there so ill have to get some from them-but it was fun to surprise them. We called and arranged a dinner at the roof without them knowing who would be there to meet them, ate real quick then sent them on their way to the Manilla Phillipines. Then we stayed up at our condo in Park city until monday it was so good to relax, and get away from the heat. Scott and Shawn got to do some golfing, and I got to do some shopping-I got my first maternity and baby clothes!
We went to Washington DC to watch my dad's supreme court trial--we had a blast, we started out in Maryland and went to Annapolis with Mike and Ash rode a boat around cape code, then drove to Pennsylvania to see aunt shamaine and Uncle mike's new place and met up with sara and Larry, then we all drove to DC to watch dad's trial on our second anniversary!! We laugh that we went to court for our second anniversary! Then Scott and I headed to NC the next day to Scott's brother Sonny's house to spend some time with megan and the girls on Scotts 31st Bday, he loved spending it with the little girls, they made him a card, gave him a superman movie and bought some clothes for dalton! Needless to say we packed a lot into a 5 day trip it was so much fun, and awesome to see different states ive never been to and some of our country's history through Gettysburg and DC. Dad should get his ruling the end of this month but it looks like the judges will rule in his favor.
We found out last week that it's a boy, I cant believe they were able to tell the first time when they gave us a guess so early at 12 weeks! We are excited for a boy-this will be the first boy to carry the Hastings last name, there are plenty of boys on the Hastings side but none of them are last name Hastings. We are going to name him Dalton Scott, Scott picked out his name, he has wanted to name his first boy Dalton since he was a teenager. We got a 4-D ultra sound last week which was really cool, you can see exactly what the baby looks like- which is crazy it sorta looks like an alien even at 5 months old! I'm really behind on posting lots has happened in the past couple months i will update shortly but Scotts parents have left on their mission to the Manilla Phillipines temple-we will miss them greatly but are so excited for their new adventure. They were able to come to the 4-D ultra sound with us last week before they left to see Dalton since the next time they see him he will be a year old, its crazy how fast time goes by!
