Dalton Lately

Dalton is so much fun, both Scott and I say we never get bored of him, and we could play with him all day long.
He says momma, dadda, babba and shakes his head no at us all the time!
He is starting to walk at 10 months! Yikes, he stands perfectly balanced on his own and takes about 2-3 steps, gets scared and lowers to his knees, I'm glad he hasn't figured out that can do it just yet, because he really can :). He darts for stairs and is pretty good at them, our first tumble was at the condo this week in Park City, he fell down one of the three sets of stairs...which are a nightmare up here, and no where sales baby gates!!!
He loves the horses and begs to see them each day. He isn't so gentle with them but they take the slaps to the face pretty well. He is certainly a little cowboy, everything is about outdoors for him-dogs, cows, trucks, horses, and water-he would swim all day if he could.
He loves the song "Stuck Like Glue" by Sugar Land, it was stuck in my head one day so i was singing him the chorus, "you and me baby we're stuck like glue" it came on in the car later that day and he was trying to sing it, he recognized the song from me singing it. Now every time its on in the car he starts singing (which is yelling "ahh ahh ahh" to the tune) but its his favorite song he sings and dances really getting into it shaking his head all around bouncing up and down. Scott and I decided to make it our family song-cheesy I know.
I have so many fun pictures of him, I have been overdoing it lately but I cant find my camera usb to upload them-that is on my list of things to buy so i can share my cute boy with you. Here is a mobile upload.

My heart is FULL

My heart is full and words cannot express the experiences I have had the past 3 days. They are so sacred and dear to my heart that I will never be the same. I have experienced a true heaven on Earth, a celestial room in the Check's home that i feel privileged to have been apart of. Sweet Emmie is back with the Savior. I wish I could paint the picture for you of the beautiful moment as an inspiration for us all to know that we will live again, that God does hear our prayers, and is good. Emmie has taught me so much, and being able to serve her and administer care to her in her last hours will be a precious memory for me always. From this experience I will take that the most important thing I can do in this life is be a good mother. Tiffany is the most amazing mother i have ever known, she faithfully served Emmie for 8 1/2 years, so lovingly that Emmie did not want to go. She almost passed 13 hours before she actually went, and I know it was because she was torn between leaving her loving parents here on Earth or going to be with her Father in Heaven. What a wonderful mother she is that sweet Emmie feels as much love from her as she does from her Heavenly Father. Sweet Emmie inspired me to be a nurse. I cared for her as a teenager, and now that I am a nurse I was honored to care for her as she passed in her beautiful home. Sweet princess I love you and will cherish your memory forever. Your body will be laid to rest, but your spirit will linger forever more.

I love her Aunt Tracey's inspirational words, and her precious photos of Emmie. She beautifully portrays the painfully sweet scene that has been experienced the past couple days. www.14babyblues.blogspot.com

Hawaii

We had so much fun in Hawaii, and Dalton was a trooper for the flight and trip. I have to tell what happened to me on the way there. I realized after we were already on the plane that I only packed two diapers in Dalton's bag for the 6 hr flight to Hawaii plus the 30 minute flight to change planes and fly from Honolulu to Maui. Wow! Poor Dalton. So after his first wet diaper 30 minutes into the flight I went searched for other mothers, but the only other baby on the plane wore size 5 and Dalton is size 2--not gonna work. I went into the bathroom to see what I could find, and I found a whole drawer of feminine pads-poor Dalton-so I lined the inside of his last remaining diaper with them, and switched them out as they were wet. Thak goodness he didn't do number 2!
Dalton was a little fish he loved all the water, day 1 he hated the waves-too scary, day 2 he was ok just looking at the waves but yelled at me when I got in them, he was scared for me, and day 3 he cried if you didn't get him in the ocean with you!

The highlight of the trip was Scott getting to snorkel with dolphins, a school of about 100 of them was out in the ocean playing with snorkelers and he made it out there about 600M to play too. Me, i wasn't so brave since we were taking turns snorkeling and watching Dalton, I think I made it out about 600M then turned around because they were out about 800M when i went out, I panicked and booked it back in when the water was too deep to see my hand in front of me!
I love Hawaii and try to talk Scott into monvig there, but I guess ill be ok vacationing often like we do. This was our third time together, Scott's 4th. Dalton is getting so big he still just has his two bottom teeth. He is scooting around, sitting up on his own, eating all kids of foods, he says hi and mama back after we say it-but he still has no idea what it means or what he's saying. He's 17 lbs and a few ounces. A big chubby chunker :) & He has tan lines in the fat rolls of his wrists from Hawaii :)

Hawaii

We had such a blast in Hawaii-and I was in heaven having time with just the three of us for an entire week! Don't get me wrong, we love our family-and you know it :) but having family live us, it is a treat to get some alone time for the three of us. I need to edit my photos still but loved this pic of Dalton and I.

Had to post these cute little pics of my friends babies and Dalton. Its so fun to have friends with babies around the same age
Princess Peyton Tidwell & Dalton
and Rushton Reynolds & Dalton

Room for baby

Ive been slowly working on Dalton's room, my sweet sister in law sandi moved out of the room right next to ours so dalton could be in his own room and close to us. Here's the begininngs, I made the picture board and letterings, with so many more fun ideas to go. Its amazing how long it takes you to do things with a baby. Needless to say its a work in progress :)

I love this time of year

I love how everything is in bloom. I planted all these flowers two weeks before Dalton was born, in my attempt to go into labor by planting flowers all day! It obviously didnt work,I got my summer garden planted last week which isn't much to look at right now but i'm proud of it! I just love this time of year!!

What we've been up to...

I did really good a updating this for a while then fell short. I can't believe how big Dalton is getting, last week he weighed in at 15lbs--and he feels like 25lbs!! ha, i keep telling Scott I'm hungry all the time and i don't know why--then decided its because I'm getting a workout carrying around my almost 4 month old all day long! He will be 4 months on Saturday!! Dalton is so fun, he is really becoming a mamma's boy, but he will still take dad anytime, when I'm out and someone else wants to hold him he starts crying a little until I'm out of sight--i guess it kinda makes me feel good knowing he likes me :) i love the huge smiles i get when i come home from a long day at work and he recognizes me, its the best. He still isn't rolling all the way over yet, and isn't liking the rice cereal I tried starting him on, but he is getting close to doing both. He can sit in his little exersaucer now, can grab everything but cant let go-my poor hair--loves playing with his cousins and watching them run around, and just got moved into his own bedroom yesterday. So needless to say last night was a rough night, he knew he wasn't in our room anymore! But my sister keeps telling me it will be hard for 3 nights, he will cry and then he will get used to it, so I'm crossing my fingers!!!
Here are a few picks picking up from Christmas, one playing with his cousins, and looking at cousin paisley who's just two months younger than him!
